Radio is hard translating for me tbh but i’ll summarize a little
I: In about 8 months, you’re gonna do something totally new. Grease will be up at cheatue neuf, and you’re gonna be on stage. Who are you gonna play?
T: I’m gonna play Doody, who’s one of the guys in T-birds.
I: He’s one of the cool?
T: It’s more Danny and Kenickie who has that charm, Doody and Roger is more following them and is not as cool.
I: what connection do you have to musicals and to grease from before?
T: I am a musical guy from before, I begun a musical course when i was 15 and that’s the reason i’m doing acting
I: we didn’t know that, that you’ve done this so long
T: no, not many people know that. people think that tv actors and like, from skam, are pulled from the streets and just do something but, i’m a theater guy from start.
I: It was about 800 people who auditioned for Grease, and you and about 15 others got picked out. What did you do at the audition?
T: On the audition we played scenes as the characters they had in mind for us. And we tried acting with each other to see who fits together and not, that’s important.
I: The chemistry
T: Yeah the chemistry haha, and it was dancing and singing.
I: How is that to combine while acting?
T: It’s so physically exhausting. Maybe that’s what i’m a little stressed about.
I: Yeah and it’s going on for so long. The song is as long as the song is, it’s not like you pause to move a camera or something.
I: I love musicals, what do you feel about musicals yourself?
T: I love musicals. Often it’s so cheesy, and Grease too. They’re like caricatures and their personalities are very special. But it’s the kind of genre that you can dream away in. It’s like an ideal world. It’s beautiful. And to combine singing, dancing and acting is also very fun.
I: but you’re young, would you say people your age has the same high thoughts about musicals like for example theater or movie?
I: very leading question
T: yeah very leading question haha. Musical actors are maybe looked down on like “they’re not fully musicians, not fully actors and not fully dancers” but they are often so amazingly good at everything. And the cast for grease is awesome. It’s gonna be sick
I: Have you seen the movie grease?
T: I’ve watched it a couple of times yeah
*song plays*
I: are many people calling you Isak instead of Tarjei, because of Skam?
T: no, not among friends
I: it would have been weird maybe. But people who don’t know you?
T: yes. but it’s more that they’re shouting it. And it’s weird because it’s a reflex to me so I react to it.
I: I think you guys in Skam are doing it so believeable so it doesn’t look like you’re like, picked out from the streets. And as an actor that must be so cool. But do you get the respect you deserve?
T: It’s very interesting I’ve been thinking alot about if you need theater education to deserve respect. I’m just 18 i haven’t had time for that.
But i’m glad if people respect my attempts at least.
I: You talked about people shouting Isak. If you go out on a normal day on the street, how many selfies, in general…
T: It depends on where I go. On Karl Johan I’m fucked, I get stopped.
I was in Bergen too, and I took a couple of hundred selfies. If I went on the street with David who play Magnus it’s just selfies selfies selfies. All the time and getting stopped and.. take alot of time and..
I: 200 selfies.. that’s alot more than I thought
I: Do you see those selfies yourself online?
T: It happens that friends show me if someone put out something fun..
I: Skam has been a success also in other countries, so people have been coming from far away to see you. And you’ve gotten some gifts. And you have some of them here
T: Yeah! i’m bad at explaining but .. this is a .. Dear Tarjei book
I: “only for you” !!
T: It’s from china kosegruppa, and it’s my lifestory.. somehow.
“The little prince grew up and did musicals” and stuff like that.
I: but this is nice/cozy…
I: or creepy..?
T: if there was a word to combine creepy and nice that would be it.
I: You have more stuff there?
T: “famous corean alcohol..” I got this before i turned 18. I think i’ll save it and not drink it. It’s a liquid you’re gonna mix with beer.. and this is a book with greetings from china. I think this is fun to look back at when i’m an old man!
I: it’s alot of “cute” “you’re so cute i love you” greetings.. what do you feel about that?
T: I would wish it was…. It’s.. alot of focus on my looks, like my hair and stuff..
I: it’s nice to have pretty hair though
T: I’ve never really had selfconfidence about my hair but..
I: now you do?
T: yeah haha, now I walk around without any kind of hats haha
I: How do I say this.. Have you started doing things to .. be careful about your privacy?
T: yeah. uhm.. yeah.. I … I don’t share anything so .. it’s not much to know
I: so you’re not on social media and stuff?
T: no I have a facebook for me and my friends but otherwise i just chill
I: what are you gonna do this summer then?
T: i’m just gonna work. Filming movies actually!
I: so no break for you at all?
T: no
I: any movie projects that..?
T: nothing I can confirm now i’m afraid
I: you’ll have to come back then when you can!
©UPD:ТСМ показывает книжку, которую ему подарили
“This one I got from Kosegruppa China as a birthday present. And it’s me as a rabbit. My life story as a rabbit, in english, and in chinese, i think. They have included my childhood with fotball. There is pictures of everyone on social media and they’ve managed to spread it and find it and make rabbit pictures out of it. This one is a little weird. They know the names of my friends and they’ve made them too as figures, like this right here is my best friend Rumen and my best friend Shaun. And they’ve like made them as these figures. “Bro, another B-box “
