SKAM star in new erotic thriller
“It’s a challenge to play a very sexy scene with a 26 year older lady,” says Tarjei Sandvik Moe.
Most people know him as Isak in SKAM, but now Tarjei Sandvik Moe (18) is to be seen in a new role next fall.
Along with actor Andrea Bræin Hovig, he will embark on a new starring role in the erotic thriller “An affair”. Together they will play a teacher and a student in a relationship. Sandvik Moe says it’s a challenging role to play.
- It’s challenging sсript and a very special role. If there hadn’t been challenging scenes, I would'nt have bothered to do it, says the 18-year-old and smiles.
Special chemistry between Tarjei and Andrea
The director, Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken, was early aware of who would be in the film. He had long been planning to work with Andrea Bræin Hovig, but was also quick to bring Tarjei Sandvik Moe.
“I tested the chemistry between Tarjei and Andrea and I discovered that there was something. Although it’s 26 years of age difference, I noticed that there is a spark between them, says Dahlsbakken, adding that he thinks they can be a memorable movie couple. Andrea Bræin Hovig is very pleased with the co star.
“When we met for the first time, I felt I could relax and that this would go well. He is confident in himself and is generous about the project, says Bræin Hovig.
Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken says that it is very interesting for him and the actors to research on such a taboo theme. “It’s interesting to wipe out age, because love has no limits,” says the director.

He has received lots of offers after the success of SKAM, but is picky about what he accepts.
“There has been a lot, but a lot of crap. There is a lot of nonsense I do not want to do. Sometimes it seems that the producer just wants a SKAM name on the cast to get good PR, says Sandvik Moe.
He is not afraid to become an actor who only becomes famous for one role.
“I’m not afraid to stay Isak forever because I know I’m better than that. I take it as a challenge. It’s cool to have something to fight for, he says, referring to the hair that has gone from light curls to dark and short-cut.
The film will be up at the cinema in the autumn of 2018.

How did the guy we know best as Skam-Isak end up in bare upper body, and in the same bed as Andrea Bræin Hovig?

Henrik Dahlsbakken: I’ve wanted to work with Andrea Bræin Hovig for a long time. So it started with this idea, of Andrea. And Tarjei got involved very early, I had him in the cast of another movie, and I had of course seen him in Skam, where he impressed me a lot. And it kinda was when I tested the chemistry between Andrea and Tarjei that I felt “okay here there is something”.
He realised Tarjei Sandvik Moe, and 26 year older Andrea Bræin Hovig would fit perfect as a couple in an erotic thriller.
Henrik Dahlsbakken: 26 years, that’s maybe something you don’t think of as a natural movie couple, but you can tell there’s sparks between them.
Tarjei: It’s kind of a challenging sсript, to say the least.
18 year old Tarjei Sandvik Moe is not unkown to be working with challenging scripts. In the tv-series Skam he played the gay frustrated boy Isak. In the movie “En affære” he plays Markus, a student who’s obsessed with his female gym teacher.
Tarjei: I’m gonna do a pretty.. sexy scene, with a 26 year older woman. But i’m very ready to do it, I think that’s what’s interesting with this movie, to kinda explore what’s gray zones and what’s right and wrong.
Many scenes in “En affære” take place in the bedroom. Sandvik Moe who’s gotten many offers after Skam is picky on what roles he says yes to.
Tarjei: If it hadn’t been challenging I wouldn’t have been bothered to do it.
The spark between the two, we have to wait until next fall to see, when the movie comes to the movie theaters.
